TAIWAN ARCHITECTURE & BUILDING CENTER
Our history

The T.A.B.C. was established in accordance with the decisions of the National Architecture Conference held by the Ministry of the Interior in 1995. In a step to carry out building inspection and certification schemes, the T.A.B.C. requested the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Economic Affairs to jointly form a building materials testing and quality certification system. The Ministry of the Interior formed rules to counsel private sectors in establishing institutions dedicated to the testing and inspection of buildings, along with providing self-liquidating and technical services as specified by the Organizational Statute of Architecture and Building Research Institute (Ministry of the Interior), 1995. Therefore, the T.A.B.C. was approved and registered by the Ministry of Interior on March 1999, and the Taipei district court issued a legal person registration certificate in April 1999.
