Overview
Since 2004, TABC has been authorized to issue green building label certifications. It has encouraged manufacturers to apply for the GBM Label by holding briefings, hosting promotional workshops, and widely publicizing the spirit of green building materials. Under the assessment of building materials performance based on "ecological-friendliness", "health", "high performance" and "recyclability", we asses the quality of domestic building materials, check the construction environment and improve the prospects of the construction industry with respect to local climate, customs, and industrial conditions.
Benefits of Application
Promote the research and development of the building materials industry, upgrade the domestic green building materials industry, and establish a green building information database to provide a convenient search engine for green building materials.
Boost the wood and bamboo products industry in Taiwan by introducing product verification and tracking, assist in the overall modernizing of wood and bamboo products, and increase industrial competitiveness.
In line with the international fight against illegal timber trade, the establishment of domestic wood and bamboo production and Traceable Agriculture Product (TAP) label verification system allows the legal source of domestic wood and bamboo to be traced.
